Among the many wonderful qualities that we were drawn to in Dan Baumgartner, his love for Jesus and his relationship with his wife continue to stand out. Anne Baumgartner is a fun loving and thoughtful woman who is a wonderful partner for Dan. Their mutual love and respect is palpable and inspiring.
Anne is a visual artist and this infuses most everything she does. She has taught art to children and adults all her life in K-12 public and private schools, university undergraduate and private art programs. Anne works with private commissions and regularly exhibits her own artwork. After completing her M.F.A. last winter, she and a friend wrote and received a grant for an outdoor art installation. The urban project “On the Fence” continues her exploration of redemption and transformation with recycled and reused materials. To view a video of her recent outdoor art installation go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-rB5UwQRes or go to www.youtube.com and search for “Anne Baumgartner”.
This fall she won’t be driving any kids to school or soccer before heading to the studio, as their youngest, Dana, starts college in New Jersey. The hope is to find studio space and explore new opportunities for creative teaching and collaboration in Los Angeles.
Anne enjoys all kinds of community: time with her family, small groups, a neighborhood book group, artist gatherings, discipling women, worship and the arts, and exercising with friends. She loves to make things, read, cook, send mail, research art topics, sew, run and walk. She and Dan love to be together and they encourage each other toward growth and challenge in faith and life. This next chapter in
Hollywood promises to be an amazing God
adventure.
