The congregation of Hollywood Presbyterian Church is not a homogenous neighborhood group.  People from all over Los Angeles County attend Hollywood Pres.

The challenge for a church of this size and geographical diversity is to keep its people connected.  At Hollywood Pres, we're accomplishing that through our Small Group Ministry.

Meeting in groups of 6 to 12 people, hundreds of our congregation gather weekly in homes around the region.  They spend time sharing the news and concerns of their lives, exploring the wonders of the Bible, and praying for each other fervently.

Folks who have participated in Small Groups find that they feel more connected with the church at large, and that they develop deep friendships that could not have come about without the group environment.  On the other hand, the church benefits from the feeling of ownership which develops when people come together over a common cause.  Indeed, Small Groups have proven to be a breeding ground for leadership -- many of our elders and deacons have participated in Small Groups.
