Coming to church for the first time can feel intimidating, particularly for those of us who are not completely extroverted. What will it be like? Will I connect with people, or will the experience feel shallow? Will I feel at home? And most importantly, will I sense this is a place where I can find God?
At the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, we want you to know that every one of us has also had a “first Sunday” experience, and we really want yours to be as warm, friendly, and inviting as possible. We will do our best to make you feel welcome! Go ahead, grab someone’s arm and say, “I’m new here”. We look forward to meeting you. If you want to know a bit of what we are like, check out the videos in our “Who We Are” section. That way, you can meet real folks who are part of our family before you even make your first visit.
We are here because of Jesus Christ. God's grace, mercy, and transformation of people's lives is the focus of all we do. We think our church is a wonderful place, but we do not believe we “have it all together.” We are continually making our best effort to reach out, make you feel welcome, and to help you feel that God is present in this place. Come and join us on the path of faith together; the more of us on this journey, the better it will be! Learn more from our short video.
There are several services to choose from at our church, and you can learn more about each by clicking on the links below.
We recommend arriving
about 10-15 minutes before the service to allow time for parking and
seating. There is a first-time visitor lot located on the corner of Gower and Carlos. If the lot is full, you may park in either of the lots further down on Carlos.
If you have children it would be best to drop them off
before the service in the Children’s Ministries Dept. We have many programs for children of all ages. Again, grab an arm of someone, and ask “Where do the kids go?”.
