Celebrate Recovery
alt

Starts Wednesday, May 9, 2012

Hope, help and healing for hurts, habits and hang-ups
in a safe, confidential setting that is Christ-centered

Why Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is a biblically-based 12-step program that provides a safe place to heal within a Christ-centered community.  Unlike secular 12-step groups, Celebrate Recovery believes true healing comes from the One and only Higher Power, Jesus Christ, and seeks to offer people freedom from a wide range of issues: broken relationships, co-dependency, food issues, anger and depression, divorce, substance abuse, chemical dependency, sexual brokenness, etc.  The program was first developed by Rick Warren's Saddleback Church 20 years ago and has since been adopted by over 17,000 churches worldwide.

When

Every Wednesday night at 7PM starting May 9

 Who

For those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups and looking for healing and recovery through our one higher power, Jesus Christ

 What

Each week will consist of a meeting with worship, either a lesson based on the 12 Steps and 8 Biblical Principles (from the Sermon on the Mount), or a personal recovery testimonial from someone about their own hurt, habit or hang-up.  Then everyone will have a chance to share in small gender-divided, issue-specific groups.  Lastly a connection time at the Fresh Air Cafe.

Sermon Series: Real Life Community
Lesslie Newbigin once said, “It is surely a fact of inexhaustible significancethat what our Lord left behind Him was not a book, nor a creed, nor a system of thought, nor a rule of life…but a visible community.”
But what might that look like in real life?
