First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood believes that Stewardship is a matter of the heart, which involves a personal journey of faith that seeks to honor God's Lordship. It is a joyful response to God's authority and claim over us as our Creator and Redeemer. As such, it is first and foremost, an act of worship that values the immeasurable worth of Christ, who by the virtue of His sacrifice has purchased our lives.
Stewardship is a never-ending adventure of managing God's personal resources entrusted to us for two Divine goals: the growth of the Kingdom of God, and the blessing of our personal lives. Stewardship entails our Time, Talent, and Treasure in a joy filled anticipation of God's goodness and grace that never ceases. Tithing is a concrete, personal spiritual discipline that signals the faith acceptance of God's Ownership & Lordship. It is the pragmatic passport that indicates the entrance into the Land of Stewardship, where the burdens and anxieties of life have been transferred into God's hands. Stewardship is a personal, living testimony to God's Goodness that never fails.
