For almost 20 years, The Lord’s Lighthouse Ministry of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood has been serving the poor in our community. Since 1990, members of our congregation and volunteers from churches, schools and colleges from around Los Angeles and beyond have joined together to serve at “The Lighthouse”. The simple act of welcoming the stranger, washing their feet, offering them a meal and sharing the love and compassion of Jesus Christ and the hope of the Gospel to homeless and very low income individuals and families in the Hollywood area, remains at the core of this ministry.
Along with a nutritious hot meal prepared and served on campus by volunteers, The Lord’s Lighthouse also provides Bible studies, Communion & anointing services, employment assistance, the services of our parish nurse and prayer -- all combining to add to the welcoming atmosphere of what many have come to call their 'home church.' As volunteers and leadership, we seek to show and share the wonder of Christ's love for all.
Bible studies for adults, Kids Club and Hispanic Families group take place at 1 p.m., with the message being given and the meal served at 2 p.m in Fellowship Hall and Upper Terrace. For more information, contact the
