College Mission in Albania,
July 27–August 9, 2004
The college team worked at "Crossroads," a camp and conference center in Erseka, Albania which is run by our missionary Mark Stoscher, his wife, and their team. Our team helped cook meals for a women’s conference for Albanian Christians.
The team stayed in a house that will one day be an orphanage. There is a great playground and grass area, and it is well known in Erseka because it is the only playground in town. Each day the playground is open from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. for the neighborhood kids to play in and enjoy. In the middle of play time, our mission team would call the kids together and teach them a Bible lesson or share a testimony with them.
Jr. High Mission in Mendenhall, Mississippi,
July 31 – August 7, 2004

Our Junior High “City Kids” did outreach to an impoverished rural community in the South through farming and various service projects. They learned much about God’s heart for racial reconciliation and caring for the poor. It was a very meaningful experience for all who went!
Kurdish Outreach Opportunities
There are many opportunities to minister to the Kurds, the people group adopted by our church. Some of our recently returned volunteers taught English as a Second Language to Kurdish youth in Germany while others did relief work in Turkey.
A group at Hollywood Pres also meets monthly to pray for the Kurds
The main photo below was taken while members of this summer's short term mission team were on a prayer walk through a very poor Kurdish district. The children followed them for blocks and blocks until they found their way back to the city center.
Mexico Mission, June 19–27, 2004

Family Mission, August 11–15, 2004
Families of FPCH cared for the people of Los Angeles through service projects, children’s ministry, and community outreach, working alongside various inner-city ministries and churches.
At a church in South Central Los Angeles, the team cleaned, painted, did some light construction, and worshipped with the church on Sunday. Five children from our Family Mission were baptized that day.
