Dear brothers and sisters at FPCH,

I am writing to you personally to let you know that after nearly 6 1/2 years at FPCH, my time as the Director of Children’s and Family Ministries is coming to a close on February 28, 2021. It is with a heavy heart that I must say goodbye in the midst of a pandemic and ongoing transition within our faith community, but I hope that as I join you in the sorrow of goodbye you will also join me in the joy of God’s calling.

As many of you know, my husband, Doug, and I have been serving two different congregations in Los Angeles. We had hoped that someday God would provide the opportunity for us to serve alongside one another, but we never dreamed that the chance would come now. And yet, here we are in 2021 saying yes to just that. We will be relocating at the end of February to Nashville, Tennessee, to serve together at Church of the City Downtown Nashville. We ask for your prayers as we embark on this new adventure and embrace God’s call to this new city and congregation.

My heart breaks to say goodbye – especially to the families, volunteers, and incredible saints I have grown to love so deeply. Please know that I will be in prayer for you all and that I am forever thankful that God’s Kingdom extends so broadly, binding us together despite the distance.

With steadfast love,
Courtney Rominger
Director of Children’s & Family Ministries
