For ten years, the children at the preschool have raised money for St. Jude’s Hospital by having a Trike-a-thon. On Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 9:30 to 11:30am, the HPCC children rode trikes, bikes, and scooters to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

The children learn about:

  • Bike/trike safety
  • Watching when you cross the street
  • Wearing a helmet
  • Exercise is important

This year we raised almost $4000 and donations are still coming in. This is the most we have ever raised. The money goes to St. Jude’s who help provide services for FREE to children with cancer and their families. It helps with medical services, medications, airplane tickets, hotel stays and food, just to name a few. In ten years we have raised over $20,000. We do not take prizes either because we want the children to learn about helping others and giving, not necessarily receiving. We have all the money go towards helping sick children and their families. We are very proud of that.
